So I planned to write about IRL meetings...but...

…my 750 + post disappeared yesterday, so I’ll get back to that topic eventually. And I’ll recap SXSW. And I’ll tell you everything about the Chevy drive that you’re aching to know. And some other things and such. About my amazing encounter with the CEO of my company. And the president. And things and such. I’ll get to it eventually, I promise. But for now, I have something more pressing that I need to get off my chest, and much more personal.

I want to talk about what I love. About 10 years ago, I watched something on Oprah about making a list of 10 things you’re grateful for each day. And since then, while I may not write them out, before I got to sleep each night I make a list in my head. So here, in no particular order are some of the things that I love.

Ahem.

I love that I have no idea how to use Skitch. See above for example.

  1. My family. I’m going to go ahead and lay this out there. I have the best brothers and mother in the entire world. And to make it even more awesome, my extended family is incredible, too. Total freaking win.
  2. My friends. From my best friend Mary who supports my technology addictions, to Carolyn who knows my emotions so well that I don’t have to say a single word, to Carson who serves as the most incredible cheerleader ever. I totally won in the friend department. Like, no joke.
  3. My life experience. I’ve traveled the world. Lived all over the country. Had incredible cuisine, and experienced amazing things. I’ve met absolutely outstanding people. And it’s just the beginning.
  4. Living in NYC. From the moment I stepped off the plane, this city greeted me with love and affection, making me feel welcome and that I made the right decision to move. And since then, I’ve made outstanding friends, and done more work wise than I could have ever imagined. So freaking lucky.
  5. Modcloth.com. What? Don’t judge me, I love that site. And I love browsing it over the phone with my mom so we can “shop” together.
  6. Susan. Gosh I miss her (my cat for those of you that may be confused). She’s been living with my mom while I got settled in NY, but now that I’m close to it, she’ll be here soon. Thank goodness.
  7. My iPhone. And you thought she’d be first. Hmph.
  8. My positive attitude. Sure, I’m a Debbie Downer at times and have an initial “sky is falling” mentality, but I have hope that things are going to turn around, and everything will work out alright. So glad I have the ability to think that way.
  9. Pride and Prejudice. Just hand me a copy of the movie or the book, and you’ve become my new BFF.
  10. All of you, wonderful reader people. Your feedback has helped me grow so much personally and professionally, and for that I’m forever indebted.

What about you? What do you love?

I didn’t realize Susan hasn’t been with you all this time. So good to hear NYC has done a good job adopting you from Seattle. :) And yes, we know about you and your iPhone. The other morning, I suddenly realized I’ve been keeping mine by/under my pillow. That reminded me of you and cracked me up!
